General Information[]
Benevento, at its start, is a Chalcedonian Umbrian feudal monarchy located in the Apulia and Lazio-Campania areas, Italy region of the Western Europe subcontinent. The kingdom emerges from Arian Lombardy in 571, gaining cores, bordering fellow Chalcedonian Byzantium west and southeast, Arian Lombardy northwest and south and the waters of the Adriatic Sea (Eastern Mediterranean area, Mediterranean region) northeast.
Benevento annexed by the now Orthodox Byzantium in 891, breaks free from Byzantium in 895, but later it is annexed by Catholic Sicily in 1053.
