General Information[]
Cleves, at its start, is a Catholic Rhenish feudal monarchy of the HRE located in the North Rhine area, North Germany region of the Western Europe subcontinent. The monarchy emerges from the Catholic The Palatinate in January 1st, 1092, gaining cores, bordering fellow Catholic Lotharingia and Saxony north, Berg and Cologne south and Limburg southwest.
Cleves will be re-taken by The Palatinate in August 13th, 1615, released from Catholic Revolutionary France as their vassal on July 12, 1806 and losing HRE status. Cleves will be quickly re-annexed into Revolutionary France on August 1, 1808, released as their puppet again in January 1st, 1809, finally annexed into Protestant Prussia on April 11, 1814 and never appearing on-map again.
