General Information[]
East Germany, at its start, is a Secular Prussian socialist state (until April 5, 1990, when the government reforms) located in the eastern provinces of the North Germany region of the Western Europe subcontinent. The republic emerges from a split Germany on May 8, 1945, with cores, bordering West Germany west, Austria, Switzerland, and Yugoslavia south, Czechoslovakia southeast, and Poland eastward.
East Germany has a naval border via the Baltic Sea with the Soviet Union, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Poland.
East Germany will unite with West Germany to re-create Germany on October 3, 1990, losing cores and never appears on-map again.

Strategy[]
The Cold War[]
As East Germany, you share a similar goal to your neighbor West Germany; that goal is to reunite Germany. You however want to unite the German people under Communism instead of Capitalism. Finding allies in Europe to help shouldn't be that hard. Check to see who has rivaled West Germany in order to see if their enemies would accept an alliance from you. Good allies would include France or the USSR. The issue here is the same one that WG has in forming Germany; you need to retake Königsberg/Kaliningrad from the Soviets. If the Soviet Union gets into a heated war with China, that is the time to strike.
