Egyptian The Egyptian religion refers to is the complex system of polytheistic beliefs and rituals of ancient Egyptians. The religion centered on the interaction of many deities. The practices of Egyptian religion were efforts to provide for the gods and gain their favor. Formal practice centered on the pharaoh, the king of Egypt, the Pharaoh was believed to be the living incarnation of the god Horus, even when female. The Pharaoh acted as the intermediary between his people and the gods, and was obligated to sustain the gods through rituals and offerings so that they could maintain order in the universe. The state dedicated enormous resources to Egyptian rituals and to the construction of the temples to ensure to Pharaoh to the afterlife.

Egyptian is one of the two religions in the African group, with the other being FetishistFetishist. Every other religion in game are considered Heathen.

If EgyptianEgyptian nation controls Cairo province (361) before 1000. They will get Conquest of Memphis Event. Which will allow them to convert to Old Egyptian culture or refuse to gain Icon stability+1 Stability instead. But this event will only fire once. The EgyptianEgyptian nation will have to get the Cairo province before any EgyptianEgyptian does.

Egyptian also possesses personal deities. Upon ruler death, the player has an option to worship one deity which will give the player unique bonuses depending on the God or Goddess chosen. The player may choose one deity once every time their ruler dies. The options are
