General Information[]
Hainaut, at its start, is a Catholic Walloon feudal monarchy of the HRE located in the Wallonia area of the Low Countries region and Champagne area of the France region, both of the Western Europe subcontinent. The monarchy emerges from Catholic Flanders on February 22, 1071, with cores, bordering fellow Catholic France and Bar south, Flanders west, Lotharingia north and Namur and Luxembourg east.
Hainaut will be re-annexed by Flanders on December 17, 1195, de-annexed from Flanders again on July 4, 1253, annexed again by Flanders on December 24, 1257, breaks again from Flanders on February 10, 1280, finally annexed by Catholic Burgundy on July 3, 1428, leaves the HRE on July 12, 1806, loses cores in 1900 and never appears on-map again.
