Oettingen is a

Bavarian 
monarchy part of the 
HRE located in the Lower Swabia area, South Germany region, of the Western Europe continent; rising during the 'Stamford Bridge' era. Emerging, with 
cores, from Catholic 
Swabia at the start of the year 1147 and will border only fellow Catholic countries (
The Palatinate west, 
Franconia northwest, 
Nuremberg and 
Bamberg northeast, 
Bavaria east and Swabia southwest).
Oettingen will be annexed by Nuremberg at the start of the year 1331, and will not appear on the map for the rest of the timeline.
