General Information[]
Tlemcen, at its start, is a Khawarij Zenati iqta located in the Algiers, Barbary Coast, Algiers and High Plains areas, Maghreb region of the Africa continent. The iqta breaks from the Sunni Umayyad caliphate in 743, with cores, bordering fellow Khawarij Fez west, Sunni Nekor west and Umayyad east, Fetishist Sijilmasa and Mzab south and the waters of the Western Mediterranean north.
Tlemcen will be annexed by the now Khawarij Mzab in 780, break from the Shia Fatimid caliphate in 950, become annexed by Sunni Morocco on October 1, 1066, de-annex from Morocco in 1235, become re-annexed by Morocco in 1337, break from Morocco again in 1348, get annexed by Morocco again in 1352, de-annex from Morocco again in 1359, finally re-conquered by Morocco in 1549, keeping cores and never appearing on-map again.
